This transition requires levels of investment in the power system<br \/>\nthat exceed all previous efforts combined.<br \/>\nAn energy transition at this scale will have significant impacts on all aspects of the power system<br \/>\nbut this presentation is mainly focused on distribution networks in Queensland. In 2022,<br \/>\nQueensland government announced an ambitious plan that sets two new renewable energy targets<br \/>\nof 70% by 2032 and 80% by 2035.<br \/>\nTo achieve these targets, Queensland\u2019s coal power plants will have to retire by 2036.<br \/>\nAnd all new car sales should be electric by the same year. Currently, more than 30% of<br \/>\nresidential customers in Queensland have rooftop solar PV with the total installed capacity of<br \/>\nclose to 4GW and this is expected to double by 2030.<br \/>\nThis presentation gives an overview of the current state of the network and unpacks the role of<br \/>\ndistribution networks in supporting the \u201celectrify everything\u201d mission in Queensland.<\/p>\n<p>\u300a\u65e5\u672c\u8a9e\u6982\u8981\u300b<br
