I sincerely look forward to your continued support and cooperation.
\nThe environment surrounding the IEEJ is now at a major turning point.
\nRapid progress in decarbonization, advances in AI and semiconductor technologies, and structural changes in society are creating complex challenges simultaneously. In such a time, the role of professionals engaged in electricity, information, and energy has never been more important.
\nI believe that the key to the future lies in evolving our society into a new stage supported by the integration of the three flows:
\nelectricity (watts), information (bits), and heat. By enabling these elements to interact and circulate in harmony, we can realize a sustainable and well-balanced society.
\nThe IEEJ has long contributed to society by bringing together diverse expertise and knowledge. I will carry forward and further develop the directions established by my predecessor, President Yasushi Ono-namely, ensuring diversity, expanding the community of engagement, and strengthening our standardization functions.
\nLooking ahead, we will deepen collaboration beyond traditional electrical engineering, particularly with the fields of electronics and information and communications, as well as with other engineering disciplines. At the same time, we aim to broaden our connections with younger generations and the global community, thereby enhancing the openness and attractiveness of the IEEJ. In doing so, we strive to create greater value for society, regardless of the number of members.
\nElectrical technology has evolved as a “powerful tool for serving humanity.” Building on this spirit, we will continue to contribute to society in ways appropriate for the next era.
\nTogether with our members and all stakeholders, we will take on the challenge of creating new value.
\nI sincerely appreciate your continued support and cooperation.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
It is my great honor to serve as the 113th President of the Institute of Electrical Engineers of Japan (IEEJ).
