A systematic design methodology of switched-capacitor DC-DC converters with arbitrary conversion ratio using continued fraction expansion is reported. Compared to the conventional design method, the use of continued fraction expansion gives a clearer and straightforward derivation of switched-capacitor DC-DC converters with any arbitrary conversion ratio. In order to implement different conversion ratios, conventional approaches required multiple circuit topologies. This research proposes a switched-capacitor DC-DC converter with variable conversion ratio. |
