This paper presents a current sensor-less boundary current mode ac-dc converter. The conventional method need to detect the reactor current in order to detect the zero-crossing point. It causes increase the power loss in the current detection resistor. In propose method the zero-crossing point of the inductor current is predicted by solving the non-linear equations of circuit parameters without using a current-detection resistor. In this way, the reduction of the loss which causes by the current-detection resistor and the improvement of inductor current's prediction accuracy can be expected. As a result, proposed ac-dc converter is shown a superior power factor.
