Investigating R&D Committee on Advanced Leading-edge Techniques of Electromagnetic Field Analysis for Rotating Machines
Keyword : Rotating Machines, Electromagnetic Field Analysis, Finite Element Method, Iron Loss, Simulation Technique
High-level requests for high-performance of rotating machines with their widespread application make electromagnetic field analysis to play more important role. This report summarizes the latest trends on electromagnetic field analysis techniques of rotating machines; for example, fast analysis by parallel computing, fast analysis techniques of time-periodic steady state, optimization of rotating machine structures, measurement and analysis of concentrated- winding IPMSM benchmark model, analysis techniques of induction motor with skewed structure and inter-bar current, fast analysis of steady state of low-slip induction motor, deterioration of magnetic property of magnetic steel sheet due to stress, excess eddy-current loss, laminated structure. In addition, important consideration of magnetic field analysis in asynchronous PWM inverter-driven motor and several methods of evaluating iron loss in harmonics of magnetic field are described. Furthermore, we report one dimensional post-processing analysis method of magnetic field and eddy current distribution in the depthwise direction on the base of two-dimensional analysis, and the coupled analysis method of stress and magnetic field.
This report will be useful for many researchers and engineers concerned with electromagnetic field analysis and development of rotating machines.
